Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Fairbanks
Alaska's "Golden Heart City" of Fairbanks is a great introduction to the heart of this unique state. Check in to your hotel and get ready for the beginning of your adventure.
Day 2: Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge
This morning, you say goodbye to Fairbanks for the spectacular trip to Denali National Park via motorcoach. You'll be welcomed at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge for a 2-night retreat. Check in with the Guest Service Desk for help in planning your own Denali adventure like a husky homestead tour, river rafting, hiking, glacier flightseeing or an off-road ATV adventure. Or you may enjoy the spectacular main lodge, river view deck, and Princess Village with the popular Christmas cottage and sugar shack. Be sure to check out Fannie Q's Saloon, named after a famed local homesteader, or sit outside at a fireside patio. *Discovery Princess departures will travel via rail between Fairbanks and Denali.
Day 3: Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge
Explore Denali National Park on a Natural History Tour, watching for glimpses of North America?s tallest peak as well as Denali's "Big Five"; bears, moose, caribou, wolves and Dall sheep. Later today, you may want to simply relax with a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the Nenana River.
Day 4: Mt. Mckinley Princess Wilderness Lodge
Between our two Denali lodges is some of Alaska's most beautiful scenery. Sightsee by Princess Rail to Talkeetna and then motorcoach to the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge for a 1-night retreat. Sit and gaze at the majesty of ?The Great One? from the lodge?s treehouse designed and built by Pete Nelson of Animal Planet?s Treehouse Masters. Hear stories about climbing the mountain in the Hudson Theater or roast a marshmallow at the fireside patio. *Discovery Princess departures will travel via motorcoach between Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge and Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge.
