Voyage Overview
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: PIRAEUS, ATHENS
With 3,000 years of history, you can't turn around in Athens without encountering the past. The Acropolis, a UNESCO site, the Plaka, and the Acropolis Museum are must-sees. But leave time if you can to climb Pnyx Hill for photos of the Parthenon at sunset, to buy your own set of Greek komboloi (worry beads), and to explore the metro stations that serve as mini-museums for the relics that are constantly being unearthed.
Day 2: MONEMVASIA
This Gibraltar-like town tied to the mainland by a single thread of causeway holds treasures that are old even by Mediterranean standards, with town walls and several churches dating to the 12th century. Climb to the upper town for an up-close look at the castle and Agia Sophia, a Byzantine church. Wander the lanes of the lower town lined with Venetian mansions, many of which have been lovingly restored. Savor the sun on a smooth pebble beach.

The Ortigia, or Old Town is full of sites to see like the Ortigia Cathedral which houses a number of relics of St. Lucy, the patron saint of Syracuse.
Day 5: VALLETTA
Malta's capital city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is among the world's smallest, yet definitely most charming. Graced with the paintings of Caravaggio and kissed by beautiful shorelines, you'll find photographic icons at almost every turn. Not to be missed is a visit to the stately Palazzo Parisio to glimpse the enchanting lifestyle of Malta's nobility.
Day 6: GOZO, MGARR
Pretty Xlendi Bay lies on the west coast of Gozo, an island long thought to be the mythical Ogygia of Homer's Odyssey. In the story, Calypso fell in love with Odysseus and held him captive for seven years.. The reputed Calypso Cave is just one of several intriguing caves on the island. There's also Caroline's Cave, a natural grotto that was once a private swimming hole for nuns. Surprisingly for such a small island, Gozo is home to the oldest freestanding temples in the world, the Ggantija Temples, nestled among the rolling green hills. You should also visit the Citadella, a small, fortified town that houses the island's Cathedral, the Museum of Archaeology, the Folklore Museum, and the Old Prisons.
Day 7: ECLIPSE
The ship will navigate into a prime viewing position for the solar eclipse, ensuring an unobstructed view of this celestial event. As the moon gradually obscures the sun, guests can witness the breathtaking phenomenon from the open sea, away land obstructions, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
